About Sylvia Medina
Sylvia Medina is the true founder of the Snake River Animal Shelter; it was her compassion and rescue heart that first brought forth the concept of a non-profit animal shelter in the Upper Snake River Valley region. Sylvia is recognized as the US Small Business Administration’s Woman of the Year and the Minority Business Woman of the Year. Sylvia married her business acumen with her love for animals and created an organization that has made a significant impact on the lives of both human and domestic animals through adoptions at SRAS. Her vision of placing homeless animals in new permanent loving homes has saved thousands of animal’s lives and has enriched the lives of their new owners.
